Recertification Information
(For a list of recerfication classes, go to 2009 Recertification Classes)

With the first of two local recertification classes for grades 7 & 8 coming up on November 8th, a second one December 13th, as well as the grade 9 recertification class on December 6th, there are a few things that you will need to know in order to be a certified official in 2009.

First, be advised that US Soccer is a little late in getting information out to each referee.  With that said, you will need to pre-register and pay prior to attending the recertification clinic. The on-line registration can be found at www.ussoccer.info.  You will need to sign in using your USSFID# found on your USSF ID Card or your registration paperwork last year.   A link to a copy of last years Recertification letter can be found at http://www.msysareferee.net/recertification.htm.  Remember to put the letter "R" in front of your USSFID# in the User ID line, and your last name is your password. That should get you in, and then you can follow the directions from the MSYSRA site above.  Be sure to print out two copies and bring them with you to your recertification clinic.  You will also be directed to pre-register for the re-certification class that you plan to attend, so attendance can be tracked.  If all available space is reserved ahead of time, walk-ins may not be accommodated!

Be advised that there is an increase to the USSF fees and it is based on your USSF grade level.  In addition, $15 GLASRA dues will need to be paid separate at the time of your recertification class.

Risk Management required for Recertification and New Referees
To certify or re-certify, if born on or before December 31, 1991, you must first comply with Risk Management. It takes about a week to obtain your RM card. Always bring your RM card to your referee class, even if you received it last year. if you cannot find it, go back in the system to obtain a copy.

This is the site for details regarding the Risk Management program: http://www.msysareferee.net/Risk%20Management.htm

Risk Management card are good for two years, and if you already have one, the expiration date will be listed on it.  A copy of your Risk Management card will also need to be brought with you to your recertification clinic.
