http://MichiganReferee.org is the one-stop location for training and certification information. Once you become certified, please see instructions on how to join GLASRA.

Types of Classes:
Entry Classes - This class is for people who want to become a Recreational Referee. This class will qualify as a Grade 9. Entry classes include 8 hours of instruction, usually over two sessions. New Grade 9 referees are exempt from GLASRA dues. It should be noted that GLASRA dues are in addition to the USSF certification fees.

Bridge Classes - This class is for grade 9 Recreational Referees who want to upgrade to grade 8. This qualifies you as a Referee.  Bridge classes include 8 hours of instruction, usually over two sessions.

Recertification Classes - These classes are required every year to maintain your current referee grade. This class focuses on specific aspects of the game and provides updates to the Laws of the Game. There are separate classes for grade 9 (3 hours), grades 8 and 7 (5 hours), and grades 6 and 5 - State Referee (8 hours). The State Referee class is only offered once a year usually in the first weekend of December.
