Referee Certification

GLASRA Does Not Certify Referees.

We are an organization for referees who desire to officiate matches which our appointed assignors offer to members. We'll talk about membership later, but first, please make sure you are certified as a US Soccer and/or MHSAA Official.

The Michigan Referee Committee has a guide on how to become or recertify as a referee. You must certified annually to be elegible to work sanctioned matches.

Official Registration

Registration opens June 1. A late fee of $30 will be assessed after March 22. You only need to register once for the entire school year. We recommend registering so you receive assignments in both fall and spring. We also recommend certifying as a US Soccer Referee to provide foundational knowledge necessary to gain additional experience at all levels.

The registration process is simple.

Please pay your annual GLASRA Dues. MHSAA Assignor cannot offer you matches unless you are a member. US Soccer Assignors give priority assignments to GLASRA members.

Paying your dues is based upon a calendar year. However, if you pay after July 31, your membership is good through the remainer of the current calendar year and the entirety of the following year.
